Sheriff John Miles

Sheriff Miles was sworn into the Office of Sheriff in 2016.

Sheriff Miles has been a certified peace officer since 1994. Sheriff Miles acquired a Bachelor’s Degree from Georgia Southern University and has attended extensive training in multiple law enforcement facets. Sheriff Miles is a State of Georgia certified General, Firearms, and Defensive Tactics Instructor. Sheriff Miles was also appointed the Director of the Emergency Management Agency by the Board of Commissioners in 2018.
